A Message from our Founder
Hopewell Festival aspires to establish Central New Jersey as an international destination for classical music and opera. We believe that begins by bringing world-class artists into an environment where audiences can experience this music not as something distant or formal, but as something vivid, rustic, and communal.
Just as importantly, we are committed to cultivating the next generation of classical audiences through education and community engagement, while also creating programming that is relevant, accessible, and compelling to a broad and diverse audience, honoring the great traditions of the art form while speaking meaningfully to the world we live in today.
We are a startup organization and will present our first full festival season in August 2027; though our inaugural event will take place on August 16, 2026, with an exclusive concert starring Grammy-winning opera star Latonia Moore.
We are deeply grateful to Hopewell Valley Vineyards for providing us with their enchanting grounds. Nestled at the base of the Sourland Mountains, this home venue will offer the charm of a rural vineyard setting paired with world-class musical experiences.
We would be honored to receive your support as a founding contributor. Your generosity will help establish a lasting cultural institution that enriches the region for generations to come.
Sincerely,
Matteo Neri
General & Artistic Director
